The Rosecomb

Appalachian cooking and a sharp cocktail list in a 1920s cottage. Michelin Recommended.

Why The Rosecomb is No. 5

Chloe Wright and Ryan Smith opened The Rosecomb in 2021 in a 1920s cottage at Barton Avenue and Hanover Street, in Chattanooga's Riverview neighborhood. The name is a breed of bantam chicken.

The kitchen cooks from a seasonal, Appalachian-inspired menu, and every dish is gluten-free or can be made that way. The bar pours craft cocktails, less common wines and beer.

Everyone must be 21 or older, in the house and the garden, at all hours. Michelin Recommended in the 2025 American South guide. The kitchen serves 4 to 10 Monday through Saturday and 11 to 3 on Sunday. Reservations are suggested for groups of more than four.
