Why Main Street Meats is No. 4
A working butcher shop with a restaurant and bar attached, on East Main Street in the Southside. Erik and Amanda Niel, who also run Easy Bistro and Little Coyote, took it over in 2014.
The shop does whole-animal butchery. The counter sells cuts to cook at home; the dining room serves lunch and dinner, with a whiskey list at the bar and a heated patio.
Michelin Recommended in the 2025 American South guide. Open from noon every day, until 9, or 10 on Fridays and Saturdays. Join the waitlist online.
