Why Easy Bistro & Bar is No. 3
Erik and Amanda Niel opened Easy Bistro in 2005 and moved it to Chestnut Street in the West Village in 2020. It is a French bistro with a Louisiana accent: a raw bar with oysters that change daily, house-made pasta, and a wood-fired hearth for roasted oysters, whole fish and octopus.
Plates large and small are meant for sharing, and the bar keeps more than 300 whiskies.
